I'm not convinced Khan would avoid getting chinned. Brook has developed durability issues too. It's the reason I'm not interested in a Khan-Brook fight, it's two broken has beens. If either man fights again it will be against somebody else on the decline, not an up and comer like Benn
During the post fight interview that this report is based on, Hearn was trying to bring Conor back to reality mentioning the European title for example, which seems a sensible target. Avenesyan holds it right? So beating the guy who KOd the fella considered your domestic rival for a decent title makes a lot of sense to me

It would have been the perfect time to call out Ennis, both had a fight the same day both are up and coming in the welterweight division....and he said he wanted the top dogs so let’s get them together and mix it up!

I’d strongly argue McKinson is more proven than Benn after beating Kongo.

Benn’s career path reminds me of Yarde’s. Avoiding the domestic guys and being guided up the rankings by fighting imported opposition.

I think we might get Brook vs Benn on PPV. Khan’s smart enough not to risk selling his name to a prospect whilst Brook will take any payday he can get.

That's real talk! He needs to be talking about David Avanesyan, Daniyar Yelelussinov, Vergil Ortiz Jr., and Mikey Garcia!I get pissed every time Regis Prograis talks about Broner! He needs to stop!

What about Brook? Hearn could make it. Why want Porter when Brook beat Porter.

Eh, I'm no big fan of Benn but you sound fuvking goofy when you dislike a fighter.

Yeah, you've fallen into the trap of thinking the headline actually reflects his words. Unfortunately, he said give me Amir Khan, then went on to say he's ready for the top dogs, and threw the names Porter and Broner out there in a questioning manner. In answer to those names, no, they're not top dogs. But they aren't the kind of fighters that you put a prospect in against -- which it seems was his point, hence "Forget the word prospect, I ain't a prospect no more."

Because Brook looked completely shot in his last fight?

In reality, these fights would be acceptable, this is his level. The funny part is him calling them top dogs.

Porter is clearly a top dog. Porter beats all these young lions IMO.

You are probably one of those who think Boots and Ortiz jr. are much better than Benn? based on what?
