So...I mean, I don't watch women's boxing like I used to but...I watched that Marshall/Lindberg fight.

I don't see this dominant fighter that you guys seem to.

Marshall is tall and rangy, and she has decent throw, but...she's trying too hard to be a female Roy Jones. It looks like smoke and mirrors, fake out the opponent into a making a mistake.

Shields is not going to fall for that okie-doke and you know that.

If I were in Marshall's camp, the first thing I'd be telling her is to FIGHT TALL. Use that height, like prime Tarver used to. Stop trying to shoot low and bob like Roy Jones. She's clearly accurate, could you imagine if she fought tall and used that accuracy, walk her opponent down and catch them off counter exchanges? She'd be an absolute beast that Shields would struggle to hit, get frustrated and make a mistake.

As-is...Shields with a boring close SD win.

Common opponent in Rankin for those who ain't seen both fights... I ain't trying to say anything dumb like stopping Rankin means Marshall beats Shields or anything like that, simply thought it might be a useful exercise to see how they looked against a common opponent for the purpose of comparing and contrasting styles.

Given she was a replacement at 3 days notice because her previous opponent's coach tested positive for COVID I don't think there was a lot else they could do. There isn't a lot of depth a those weights to start with.

Whatever the excuse this time,this happens alot ,long before the Pandemic, long before the obsession with women's boxing and Del Boy being a PPV star.Not that Frank dont do it as well.
