Ennis is very skillful and fun to watch. If he gets caught by a bigger puncher, like that right hand or two that Lipinets landed, I don't know if he'll be able to take it as well. Getting hit like that by Crawford or Spence is not advisable.

I had to work and I'm pretty pissed off that Showtime didn't offer the fight on replay not now or even Sunday or Monday. So I caved and checked the results.. I'm thoroughly impressed by Ennis

The question is, will Kudratillo Abdukakhorov sit and wait for his shot at the champ, which won't be until much later this year, or will he fight Boots first? Shawn Porter is IBF #2. Will he give Boots a fight? Lipinets and Clayton are #3 and #4, Boots should have jumped them both with that KO, since Clayton eeked out a draw with Lipinets! Boots needs some help from the IBF! Either a final eliminator with Kudratillo Abdukakhorov, or a fight with Shawn Porter!

I have same concerns and questions. Boots is a sublime offensive fighter and sometimes his focus on offensive leaves him exposed. He had a reaction to one of the Lipinets shots and I wondered what would have happened if it was a bona fide welterweight ****er who landed it.

Regardless, I'm a fan of Ennis and very much enjoy watching him in the ring.

Boots did what he was supposed to do vs the small guy whose best days were at 140. I like Ennis but this fight wasnt some coming out party. Fighting a real ww will tell us where he is at.

Exactly why good management of these younger guys is so important. Some of the shots Boots did get caught with were clearly due to the lack of experience at the top level. His punch selection is decent, but I also find that he often lunges in with his big punches and looks off balance at times. He also pulls straight back sometimes but then showed some good side to side movement as well. Ultimately he's not fluid with his movement yet an doesn't have his fighting style down packed all the way. He seems to be still learning himself and that means he's not ready for big fights against the top dawgs just yet imo. This is why I'd rather see Boots vs Ortiz in a title eliminator before any of them get a title shot.

I'm ready to see Boots witha full sized welter. He and Vergil Ortiz would be nice, also would like to see him vs a Porter or Thurman type fight. Would give us much more knowledge. In truth he did what he was supposed to do, made a show out of Lipinets.
