Agree, some people didn't even think it was close. That is the fight where Cotto looked his best and proved to us all, he was the real deal.

Don't pay much attention to the commentators.You'd think the Top Rank ones would favor Cotto.

HBO version was kinda neutral altough Lampley still sucks up to him.Manny Stewart calls it like it is.

agreed i watched the version on youtube as well and the commentary was OTT, some of the most biased commentary i can remember of recent times.

to me cotto proved that he was an elite fighter by simply being competitive with SSM

imo the fight was a draw iv seen more than a few times and every time iv watched it neutrally i end up with a draw or a very close decision win for either fighter. imo these two have unfinished buisness, i think SSM would take the rematch, he wouldn't be surprised by cottos jab and he always does better in rematches.

heck i wish showtime had more WW fighters - we could see a WW tourney! imagine that you could have the likes of; SSM, cotto, berto, clottey, williams, collazo, cintron,

I agree the fight was close. Cotto didn't show me anything in that fight to make me feel he was special either. Shane overlooked Cotto, imo. He wanted to brawl and Cotto boxed. As a poster said the other day. It was Mosley's fight to win. He just didn't pull the trigger that night. I had it 7-5 and Cotto stole a couple rounds with those late flurries.

As for what you said. Ever Rican I know will say Mosley got whooped bad. They will also say that he beat the **** out of Clottey to.

I like Cotto and enjoy his fights. But I don't believe he is great and is on his last leg

I'm glad you noticed Ben. That was some of the worst commentating I have ever seen. I remember in like round 4 when Mosley was clinched, they jumped all over the fact that Mosleys leg went up saying how he was about to get KOed when the onlyone ever in danger in that fight was Cotto.
