I'm not a "Josh Taylor fan" but as far as European fighters go, I rate him highly and I live in the US. I do think he has a decent resume. And hey Viktor Postol, Terence Crawford's best win, was also beaten by Josh Taylor. And coincidentally Ramirez as well. So two other highly regarded fighters beat Postol. But only one is put on a pedestal (Crawford). It also could be argued that Taylor facing Prograis is a bigger risk than Crawford has taken since Postol. Now Taylor is Ramirez, who could very well beat him, again a big risk to his 0. IF Taylor manages to somehow beat Ramirez, fans will have to him his credit. Even then, he should credit for being "average" and fighting the best possible opponents he can face. Taylor carries himself like a champion, a lot of real pride. He feels the NEED to fight the best.

Not saying Taylor is P4P top 10, just saying other fighters with similar resumes get put on a pedestal.

Good post in defense of Taylor. Where I diverge from this is the point where Postol becomes something great. I always found Postol stiff, robotic, and hard on the eyes. I don't know what makes him anything. Crawford's best win, IMO, is still Gamboa. Everyone else has been average to OK ever since. Crawford is a very good boxer/fighter, but his resume doesn't match his skills. It's a shame.
