Likelihood it happens? Low. Probably not impossible, since Spence does walk around heavy, but I think G is about to hang up the gloves here soon.

But Spence has a stalker style like Golovkin, just with better counter punching ability and he seems to be able to generate power both inside and at range, which is unique for a fighter.

Golovkin generates serious power at range, but not so much in close. But as we saw against Jacobs, Golovkin does a fairly decent job on defense. He's like a "tank" (video game terminology" - someone that can take damage without being seriously affected, at least upstairs. Derevyanchenko got a good body shot off that seemed to make G hesitate a bit, but thanks to Harvey Dock we never got to explore it further.

Meanwhile Spence can **** really well to the body and upstairs.

But you're also dealing with two guys who don't fight on the backfoot.

For me, it's a fantasy fight. Just to see what happens. Even at G's advanced age I think he gives Spence a rough time of it.

I think we've seen in the Brook fight that GGG is susceptible to fighter from the lower weight classes. Spence is a heavy welter and will be a natural light middle at 154, so the jump to 160 for GGG will not be too big like it was for Brook. I'd give him a reasonable chance against this GGG!!!

A lot of fighters are probably willing to fight GGG, now. Brook was willing back when that meant something.
