Atlas Ready To Groom Povetkin Into The Next Force

Trainer Teddy Atlas is back in the training game after hooking up with undefeated Alexander Povetkin, the 2004 Olympic gold medal winner and IBF mandatory challenger to Wladimir Klitschko. Atlas trained heavyweight champions Mike Tyson and Michael Moorer. One day he received a call from Sauerland Event to see if he was interested in training Povetkin, so Atlas flew out to Russia to meet with him. [details]

it will be interesting to see how he does with such a matured fighter, Povetkin is 30, which is no spring chicken to beceme anything else then he was.

Interesting how people say Axel Shultz was "old" at age 30 when Wladimir Klitschko became the first to stop him, while Povetkin is a considered a young up-and-comer at age 30.

those words aren't really worth marking.

i like povetkin, but either klitschko demolishes him, maybe arreola and haye too.

teddy wont make a difference, but i wonder if teddy will finally let up on the klitschkos when they ko his fighter.

personally I think Povetkin should have a Russian trainer and not an american one. atlas like all americans hate russians and i cant help but feel he will intentionally wreck Povetkins career.

                    слава Россия!!
