Depressed? Yeah i can just imagine how beating down an undefeated KO artist for the unified title, for their biggest purse ever at that point, in MSG, coming in as a late replacement with odds of 25-1 against must be really depressing. Can't think of anything worse to happen to a boxer. Hopefully fighting a washed up never was will help Ruiz find his joie de vivre again.

Yeah, the money must be especially difficult. I was almost weeping this but then I was on my way back to my flat and the lift door jammed and I had to prize is open while avoiding the big puddles of piss and the flem filled spit all over the buttons..Depressed? I have zero respect to this clown. How the hell are you depressed after becoming the legit heavyweight champion of the world as a late replacement in a real life Rocky-type situation? Then he pulls a Buster Douglas and doesn't lift a finger in training for his first title defense. Now the excuse is that he was depressed? Yeah, I never want to see this dude fight ever again.Comment

Andy is with the right trainer and team to help him turn things around.
I expect he will make more noise in the heavyweight division, his story isn't written in stone yet.
Anthony Joshua shouldn't feel too comfortable, he's only 1-1 against Ruiz. A rubber match should still happen at some point if they both keep winning.Comment

Can't see him ever regaining his titles he's a good figher but he'll never be fleetfooted the way to beat him is with movement everyone will do the same thing now.Comment

Some fighters seem to raise their game after winning a title and some guys just can't handle being champ.
Ruiz lost the title before he even got in the ring for the rematch.
Andy's a good fighter but the weight thing is a behemoth monkey on his back.Comment
