ive never been as embarrassed of boxing as i am right now, watching it get repeatedly ****d by retired boxers and "celebrities" now even absolute piss poor fighters like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr are dipping their hands in the cookie jar, if they all come out and said listen fans we are broke we have spent all our money on acting a big shot we would like a bit of charity, because thats all it is i wouldn't mind that but acting like they have this burning hunger that wont go away to fight is pissing on the sport

This makes no sense to me you are only a spectator right, if so what claim do you have over any off it, the sport will out live you there will be great fights and there will be robberies and side shows, its an entity driven by competition and money that will evolve with the times, the greats and champions will always be there just as the BS that follows the almighty dollar .

Dont let it worry you mate take the good with the bad and enjoy the ride because nothing you do will change any off it.

Why are fans angry with this fight? Lol. Boxing has had a resurgence of popularity over MMA with these exhibitions... it only boosts the popularity of boxing.

Jr is probably in terrible shape and won't train for this. Silva used to box and probably wouldn't take the fight if he wasn't in shape for it. If history tells us anything about Jr is that he'll probably fk-up. I give Silva a decent chance.

But it hasnt, the UFC has generated as many PPV buys in the opening quarter of this year as boxing has in the last 12 months, even with Tyson coming out of retirement and a Youtuber fighting an MMA guy.

These freak shows give boxing a short term profile boost at the cost of making the sport look bad. The people that tune in to watch these fights dont stick around, they came for the celebrities and MMA fighters, and they come away with the impression that boxing is so dead that it now needs to bring in none boxers and old as **** 90s boxers to make anyone care.
