You don't get to become a youtube star without facing adversity. It's not as simple as sitting behind a computer, making video's, and getting views. It's nonstop work. Dreaming up content, creating content, editing, post-processing, releasing is tons of work. One wrong move and it's all over. His brother Logan almost wrecked his (Logan's) career with going to those Japanese suicide forests. Jake's not just a youtube star, but very close to the tippy top. You face it everyday, the trolls, cyberbullying, the attacks, are nonstop. Mentally, he faces adversity all the time.

Now when you face it in the ring, thats obviously very very different. The kid likes to fight though, it's obvious and thats a big part of being successful. But he's got resources nobody else has so how he's coming up is not traditional in the slightest. Money can buy a lot of things and if he's as serious as he says he is, he's got access to the best boxing minds available. A lot of these shethouse gyms have terrible trainers that can send you down the wrong path very easily. A really good trainer can accelerate you, facts. I was lucky to have good trainers that came up during the 50's, but I saw the bad ones floating around and if they get hold of someone that has potential, they can fcuk it up quick.

I'm very curious to see this thing unfold.

      this is what will happen....

while Jake Paul is writing cheques with his mouth, that he cannot cash with his fists... his star will grow, no question... the dude is very popular

but at some point... even new/casual fans will demand that he fight someone with a pulse, and his ego/team will put him in over his head

      then... /star

        It's already happened.

I was pretty sure Askren was beat this idiot, but after seeing the press conference I'm all but certain.

Askren is a lifelong combat sports athlete. Paul is a YouTube kid with a couple years of boxing training whose beat 3 people who have zero experience in combat sports. Barring an early KO, Askren is gonna drown this guy,

Cmon man. There are future champions that have fought 0-0 guys in their first two fights in their 20's. If he's serious, which I doubt but who fooking knows, than he's got YEARS with of moving up to better opponents like EVERYONE does even guys far more experienced in the amateur game than this kid is.

But lets look at some of the records of the guys that some of the top guys faced in their third fights

            Canelo - Debut
            Fury - 15-20-0
            Crawford - 8-21-1
            Golovkin 5-1-2
            Spence - 0-1-0
            Taylor - 1-4-1
            Davis - Debut
            Bivol - 17-10-2
            M.Garcia - 0-6-1
            Estrada - 1-15-1
            J. Ramirez - 1-1-2
            Benavidez - 1-1-0
            Chocolatitio - Debut

Two of those guys fought fighters with winning records, and all of them minus Estrada and Canelo had amateur careers.
Oh sh^t Rexy already on exactly what I was just saying.

But yea this. Lotsa quality guys with years of amateur experience fought who gives a fook opponents early on so you can't condemn this kid for doing the same regardless if he's seriously trying to go in deep with boxing or if he's just using it to make some $$$.

[QUOTE=Thuglife Nelo;n30835204]Paul Brothers seem like your typical spoiled silver spoon fed men from Beverly Hills. /QUOTE]

I think thats a false take. I've only been a fan of Logan Paul for maybe less than a year now & he's waaaaaaaay more intelligent than folks think or give him credit for & both kids are hardworking mofos. It just so happens they found the cheat code so young with this YT/Influencer economy, but I got lil doubt they'd have figured sh^t out regardless in the "real world" if thats what they had to do.
