The covid definitely affected him. He was very pale just like Luke Campbell in the Garcia fight. Whyte won fair and square both the human body sometimes never recover from certain things. I think a trilogy is appropriate.

There are no excuses in boxing but it was clear something was wrong with Povetin.
I think I was watching the Sky Sports stream, and one of the commentators said to him, Povetkin looked like there was something wrong with him the whole week.
Saying that, this happens all the time: guys who have various injuries think they'll be recovered a couple weeks before the fight, and when they realize they won't it's too late. Give Povetkin some grace for that performance, I was expecting a repeat W for Povetkin, but all credit to Whyte for avenging his loss. Kinda reminded me of Rios-Alvarado III.... not one guys fault the other turned up to the ring compromised.

While I don't think it was the only reason, I do think covid played a factor. Povetkin physically didn't look like himself before the fight, his physique looked softer.
He looked shopworn in both fights with Whyte but he looked physically better in the first and less lethargic. I do not see a reason for a third fight and think Sasha should just enjoy retirement.
