I think you’re making too much of him working out. There isn’t a boxing ring or pair of gloves in sight and I think he’s just living a healthy lifestyle. No need to let yourself go just because you’re retired from the sport.

Because Andre Ward is retired and Canelo isn’t gonna fight a commentator.

he seems way too switched on to think he can come back now and be what he was.

well he’s 37 and never really took much punishment or anything but still. I think he knows boxing too well to ignore that 37 is getting up there in age and he could only be on the slide.

who knows. Maybe he feels he has a big fight in him. Maybe he needs money.

judging by Beterbiev’s last performance, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ward felt he could beat him. There’s only a year age gap between them.

I think at 37 he might struggle with a younger guy like Bivol now though.

          Why would he rematch Froch?

it was a one sided fight pretty much. Even Froch wasn’t exactly screaming for a rematch.

I don't really see someone trying to make a boxing comeback just from watching that video.

I really hope so. I'd love to Beterbiev knock that guy spark out.

Ward should have been DQ'd against Kessler. The constant clinching without point deductions. Then the headbutts that brought the fight to an end. It was a disgrace.

Ward didn't want to fight Bute because he knew he'd have to pay for getting in close with that uppercut. Ward liked to fight those who weren't inside fighters so he could grab and hit on the inside should he need to. Bute just didn't have the style that Ward was comfortable with. But with the Super Six, Bute was invited after Jermain Taylor left after his defeat to Abraham. All the fighters and their managers were asked if they minded Bute joining. All but one fighter agreed. The one who didn't, was Andre Ward. He screamed and cried and threatened to walk if Bute entered. So that's why he didn't come into it. It's on the Super Six series show that can still be found on YT if you haven't watched it. But Ward being the slimy little toad he is, kept on saying throughout the tournament that the winner HAD TO fight Bute to prove who was number 1 in the division. But when it was all over, he refused to fight Bute and claimed he had to fight a Froch or Kessler to get a fight with him. So Bute went and set up a 2 fight agreement with Froch. But as soon as the news came out, Ward accused Bute of ducking him and questioned why he was fighting Froch instead of him, when the reason for Bute fighting Froch, was due to Ward claiming he had to to get a fight with him. Ward did things like this constantly because he's a narcissist. I despised him then, i despise him now. He was the Deontay Wilder before that freak came along and took the top spot from Ward. I saw Ward for what he was. I actually listened to what he said. He contradicted himself all the time. He was a bitter, bitter man. He was entitled. He was arrogant. Couldn't stand the piece of shlt. He was pathologically delusional to his core.

After Froch beat Bute and Kessler, that's when the rematch should have happened. But Ward needed to put a road block in the way to make sure it didn't happen. He was offered the fight in a 30,000 stadium in Nottingham. But Ward refused to fight anywhere but Wembley stadium. This was before we started having fights at Wembley. But what excuse could Ward use to not travel and have a rematch? The money was there. It was a big enough stadium. But Ward needed something extreme to shut it down. And that's when he came out with the fight being at Wembley as a condition. F3cking crazy. As if a joke like Ward who nobody wanted to watch should be so delusional to think he should be fighting at Wembley. He wanted to cherry pick weak fighters for big money instead. HBO had to shut it down on him in the end. Read into it. It was pathetic. He even tried to get Pavlik out of retirement who was an alcoholic at the time to fight him because he had the style Ward loved so much.

When Ward refused to enter the tournament if he had to travel like the rest, i knew i had to keep an eye on him because it looked like the usual American set up. And it proved to be the case. Ward fighting with those tactics gets him DQ'd anywhere else. And he knew it, which is why he refused to travel point blank. Horrible little man. I was glad to be rid of him. Refusing Bute entry when he should have been there from the start was just classic Andre Ward and showed how much he manipulated situations for his own benefit regardless of those he ripped off or cheated. Even his own manager dying of cancer didn't get in his way.

It's nothing but a myth that Ward dominated. I had it 7-5 for Ward.

But even if it was one sided in your mind, the rematch should have happened after Froch beat Bute and Kessler. Froch had a right like any other the chance at redemption. He just needed to change his tactics like he did in the Kessler rematch and not try and counter punch someone with faster feet and hands than him. He needed to push Ward back and pressure him. Loads of first fights have been clear for the winner only for them to lose the rematch. But Ward wouldn't travel. He knew he couldn't cheat if he did. That's why his condition to fight Froch in the UK was Wembley stadium. He turned down the fight in a 30,000 stadium for big money. For him to go to the extreme in asking for Wembley, yet again showed what a joke of a man Ward really was. This was before all the Wembley fights too. So it wasn't Ward seeing it first hand and wanting a slice of it. No, it was a road block to make sure the rematch didn't happen. He never wanted to travel, just like he didn't in the Super Six when he cheated Kessler.
