He did, and it looked like he was certainly going to win, but you never know in boxing against a puncher, and the ending was not only very bad but quite farcical really. That type of refereeing shouldn't be happening in a fight involving two of the best P4P fighters in the world at that time. You wouldn't expect something that bad at a leisure centre fight.

Who has bute beaten that was on wards level ? He didn’t fight any big names during his time in Canada and everybody pre Froch was b level or old. No he is not the better boxer over ward. I am going to to leave it at this. Ward is going to the hall of fame. Froch isn’t and bute is likely to even gotten that championship belt. Everybody is entitled to their opinions. Me personally I just don’t get yours. If Froch realms wanted the rematch you should had just went back to America he did lose the first one.
Taylor was finished after Hopkins? That's when Taylor just got started. That's insane to think that.

Some Americans at ringside had it close too. This myth has taken on a life of it's own. But it does expose those who claim it.

Bute was shut out of the division because Ward didn't want him in the Super Six. Every other fighter was fine with it. So who could he fight and beat outside of the tournament? Why did Ward threaten to walk should Bute be allowed to enter? What was Ward so afraid of if he's an easy fight for Ward? Explain?

Bute is a betetr boxer than Ward. Ward mostly grabbed, clinched and hit in the clinch. You don't do that if you're this highly skilled fighter. Why cheat all the time in ugly fashion?

Ward doesn't belong in the HOF. His career is pathetic. Only his wins over Froch, Abraham and Bika count. Now Froch is an ATG. Just look at his resume for crying out loud. It's delusion to think otherwise.

I don't think Bute is HOF either. He wasn't given the chance too. He had his first big fight against a fighter that wasn't suited for him. Kessler was the other. But everyone else i would have picked Bute over.

Why should the fight always be in the US? Because you lose nearly every time you travel? Because you can't cheat and have your corruption stacked up high? The money was in the UK, Not the US. Froch was paid 375,000 Dollars for the Ward fight. Froch when he came back home was making 10's of millions. So more delusion there i'm afraid. Ward's demands made clear what a punk he was when he demanded Wembley stadium or no fight. He needed a reason to why it couldn't happen. But damn, it's up there for one of the worst reasons from an American for why they're ducking the fight. It was laughable. But here you are pretending it's normal. That tells me a lot about your environment and the way you think. Your posts make it very clear.

You think rocking someone now means you "Obliterate" their chin? That isn't even a reasonable assessment. It's just nuts. No pun intended.

Ward hit him low with a combination to have the crooked ref bring a halt to proceedings. Even Weekes acknowledged that he got it badly wrong. It's there on screen for all to see. Ward's career is filled with it.

I with you. I watched Ward come up as All Terrain Fighter, but the irony is he loved to fight at home more than anything. I respect his skills, but he’s a part time fighter compared to all the rest of the greats. He has a %50 ko ratio. He shouldn’t have beat Kovalev in their first fight. He just got extra credit for making the comeback in that fight. Kovalev got punished for not finishing him off and Ward got a bonus for getting dropped and surviving. I mean I get it, it was a fun narrative at the time. It’s like when a big underdog splits a round against a big favourite. That’s a “bad” round for the favourite but a “great” round for the underdog. I and my brother agree that in the rematch Ward was looking good but he landed combos low and it’s all there to see. Kovalev got punished for complaining. Ward got credit for hanging on in the first fight. He’s a wooden commentator. I don’t see him coming back at all. If he does I’ll be surprised, but he won’t get any extra credit for it on the surface, he’s already way behind on fights. Come back and fight Beterbiev just to mess with everyone’s expectations. Win lose or draw, he’d finally earn some style points.

Ward fought dirty...he always did. Kovalev won the 1st fight.

Ward ruined Kovalev. Sergei was NEVER the same and it wasnt the low blows. It was a single right hand and Kovalev never recovered.

Your first line is true and actually makes sense.

Getting 2 losses due to corruption were the reasons for Kovalev deteriorating. Same happened with Manny when they robbed him of the Bradley fight only to be knocked out in his next fight with Marquez. Gonzales when he was ripped off against Sor in the first fight. It messes with your mind. But that's one of the ways Americans use to gain advantage.

Kovalev never recovered from getting rocked by the right hand? What!?!? He got rocked, moved around the ring with Ward in toe, then had Ward launch an assault on his balls against the ropes only for Weeks to step in like they were legal punches. Kovalev wasn't given the chance to recover from the shot because it was stopped from shots to the balls seconds later. How could you delude yourself when the shots to bring an end to the fight, were shots to the balls and not the head? It wasn't stopped due to the head shot. Nor was it stopped for any shots to the head after that shot.

The way you justify corruption and delude yourself is f3cking scary. It's disgusting.
