The Ruiz example is bad. Ruiz already had a fight scheduled on the card, so he still had a full training camp. Same with Koborov when he fought Charlo, he had a full camp because he was already scheduled to fight on the undercard.
People always act like the challenger is disadvantaged by the short notice whereas both fighters are disadvantaged because it is a short notice change for BOTH of them.
In Canelo's case its not short notice for both, its only for the challenger because he already knows for a long time who he plans to fight next but chooses to announce it late.
However that could have been Oscar Delahoya's doing before because it seems he has given both Saunders and Plant plenty of time to prepare.
