I get the impression that promoters are looking at the Crawford's generation and realising the consequences of protecting a fighter and moving them on slowly.

Robs them of the opportunity of getting career defining fights under their belt. Also believe they lose out on experience.

I do think Ortiz should take another fight or 2 but Bud should be salivating at this fight not shying away from it. Makes no sense smh...

Crawford beating him now is good for Crawford because in the future Ortiz will go on to be champion at 147 and 154 so on Crawford resume its will have a two division chapion in it...... but I agree its too early
