Not sure why Americans hate Whyte so much? he's entertaining and has a much better resume than Wilder who they seem to like it's unusual. Whyte has the style to trouble fury who doesn't like it to the body. That doesn't mean he'll win Saturday the more hard fights you take the greater the chance you'll lose. He should have thought Pianetta and Swartz like Fury and you'd be hyping him still.

This probably doesn’t even mean much because no one is getting near the WBC belt in 2021 .
Whyte lost the actual interim title when he got KTFO so unless there was rematch clause in the contract, Pov could cut him out of a shot had he wanted to. But I agree, AJ and Fury have the year locked up and rightfully so. Cannot wait

there is no reason for the WBC to HAVE an interim champion when they have an active champion.

Who is the WBC current number 1 ranked fighter? Who ever that guy is is the guy that deserves to become mandatory challenger.

This is exactly why real fans won’t support this delusional clown....he’s a f@#$ing BUM!!!!...for povetkin sake I hope they have honest judges and ref along with drug testing and definitely have someone he can trust to watch his hand wraps because I’m sure there’s no level to how low this clown is willing to go to get this victory

Why would he be the mandatory? He lost to Povetkin.

              Wilder should be the mandatory.

Want to see the winner of this fight Wilder, preferably with Wilder fighting someone like Martin in the meantime

He stayed long as an interim champ but not a lot as a mandatory challenger. He became mandatory only after beating Rivas. After about 6-8 months at best of his becoming mandatory, the virus closed everything. He is lucky to escape with the Rivas fight being declared a victory in Whyte's favor and not annulled or Whyte disqualified. In reality, Whyte became mandatory in December 2019 and everything closed in March.

2-3 months waiting is not a "****** long wait".

The No. 1 should fight the No. 2 to decide the mandatory. If anyone of them refuses, is injured, or otherwise unavailable, then the next in line should be offered the chance. It should be a pre-announced fight for the mandatory position.
