Cunningham will absolutely smash him. There's a kind of sick part of me that wants him to highlight reel KO him to kind of stop these fights happening in future.

I haven't followed MMA for a long time, but I remember Frank Mir when he came on the scene, he was primarily a ground submission fighter, did he develop a decent stand up game? Otherwise wtf is the point of this mismatch? Oh wait, it's on a youtuber's undercard smdhComment

Compared to when he debuted yeah he did get much better in his stand up and did some damage to some good fighters on the feet - KO'ed Cro Cop, Big Nog, Bigfoot and iirc his win over Kongo was set up by him dropping Kongo with punches. Hes badly washed up now though.Comment

This kind of jacked up, y’all know dam well Tarver need the money with all that he had going on with baby mamas, pretty women expenses tax issues etc.Comment

This is as bad as it gets. Huge mismatch mir is shot to pieces at this point. Even when he was a top fighter he was a submission specialist. Cunningham will destroy him. If they are going to draft in ex mma guys they should at least be looking at the ones that specialised in stand upComment

Have you watched a Frank Mir fight recently? Dude is slow as fook. His chin isn't good. I got serious doubts he could hold up his hands in a normal boxing position & move around the ring for 5 rounds let alone try to actually win the fight. Granted I was more confident of a early KO by Tarver than I am of Cunningham, but Cunningham is a lock to win here & I expect the odds be in the -3000, -5000 range so I guess with things being so wide Mir having one moment or landing 3 punches is more competitive than most think so you might not be wrong at those low expectations.Comment

I mean Cunningham is not the biggest puncher and Mir has been in there with some big guys some of them would have to cut weight to make the 265lb limit I could see this fight going rounds with Steve completely outboxing him and if anything a mid to late round stoppage due to excessive blows but **** who knows if Cunningham laid him out I wouldn't be mad dude has an iron will and always gave a 100 in every fight plus he fights for a reason he has a sick daughter so I'm sure he's getting paid well for this I'm for it.Comment
