Golden Boy Highly Touted Mexican Prospect Loss

****z... One of Golden Boy’s top prospects Luis “El Matador” Hernandez was out boxed tonight by Alex Martin the same guy that gave Angel Fierro his only loss. Damn, gotta throw some blame to GBP matchmaker Roberto Diaz on this one, must of not done his homework on Martin b/c he was the worst possible opponent they could have picked for Hernandez. Now, time for El Matador to go back to the drawing board and learn from this loss still think the kid has a bright future ahead of him just gotta learn how to cutoff the ring Martin was running circles around him all night.

Really, his resume was pretty impressive up to this point, didn't think he'd struggle too much with Martin, interesting

Golden Boy traditionally match their prospects tough IMO

Golden Boy isn't afraid to match their fighters tough.

I got Martin at 7.00 odds. There was only one fight of Hernandez available, but he looked as basic as it gets. Martin moved down in weight and fought to SDs with some decent fighters who had sharper offense.

Niiiice & respect. I didn't even see that fight or else I'd have thrown something on it too. Alex Martin was a quality amateur back in the day. He gots skills. I love seeing these high level guys who took a early L & now mofos forgot about them.

yeah, the odds were way off. Even fight goes the distance was 3.25. Martin KO was somehow priced lower than Martin decision (12.00), was really suprised by those odds. But as always, the true misprices are always to be found in the smaller fights.

Can't be mad at Golden Boy for giving their prospects tough matchups. I wish more promotions did. Now the kid can learn from this and come back a better fighter.

Am glad the reaction that am reading is about GBP matching their prospects tough, and not laughing at Oscar taking a hit. This is good for some prospects as pointed out, go back to the drawing board and work on your craft. Feeding them bums does nothing for them.
