As much as the IBF is my favorite organization, they do do have some whack ass rankings like ocampo being #1 and being knocked out in round 1 . makes boxing not look too good .

The reason the IBF rankings suck is because the IBF forces everyone to follow the rules.

So promoters prefer to steer their fighters towards the other orgs, where they can pull shenanigans like "accidentally" dropping a fighter from the top 10 so another fighter can get a title shot.

Or inventing Franchise Champions, interim champions, super and regular champions, etc.

Billy Joe Saunders moved up to 168 and picked up his title against the great Shefat Isufi. I know Arum loves the WBO, though.

I'm a guy who always disagree with Arum but I got him 100% on this one.

Mandatories are supposedly designed to not let a champion avoid top competition, the problem comes when these ABC organizations put club level fighters as the mandatories. IBF has to be the worst in terms of putting guys with slim to none chance of beating the champion, yes, they are strict but they are very bad with their rankings. WBC might be the opposite they rarely enforce mandatories but when they do they put a legit guy vs the champion.

            IBF
Szeremeta, Derevyanchenko x2, Deines, Truax, Feigenbutz, Kambosos.

            WBC
            Golovkin, Charlo

Now the WBA is a total mess and the find the WBO to be in the middle between IBF and WBC.

And like Arum said it, putting club level fighters is not good for the sport, because the best should be fighting a top guy and this is rarely happening on the sport. The UFC model has done great because you always see some kind of eliminator between top guys to fight the champion.

To be honest it's a crap fight but due to the circumstances it's still a fight for the fans ...heard a recent interview where Callum Johnson saying they are paying peanuts for fights so not worth the smoke. Might as well wait until for the right opportunity.

The IBF by far is the WORST!!! I mean they have Chatles Martin as AJ's mando. Anyone want to watch that rematch???

Evgeny Shvedenko is going to he Canelo's mando after he beats Plant.

                Patrick Wojcicki is GGG's mando.

                Bakhram Murtazaliev is Charlo's

                Kudratillo Abdukak is Spence.

I had to stop reading the rest from pure disgusted by them...

I didn't make it sound like anything. I posted a cold, hard, verifiable fact: he is in his 30s. 100% true, no opinion or bias involved.

I said he was in his 30s. You suggested 50. One of these is true. One is a falsehood. It's as simple as that.

Agreed, they got the worst mandatories of all, I'd love the 4 organisations to fuse to have just 1 belt and 1 champ for division, that's how it should be, sadly this won't happen, too much money for them to let go. I'm thinking Dana White was thinking into having his boxing ufc league with his belt, the problem is that top fighters nowadays get paid a lot of money, Dana is not gonna pay these guys the money they are getting with other promoters, and pulling out new talent from the beginning is a very hard investment.

Like Dana said, it's so broken and there's so many people involved that it's just not possible to compete against them.
