Very weird Canelo ****e on this site. We all know this is a mando and after Joe Smith and Vlasov fight..there will be another unification with Beterbiev. And we also know Bivol fight is a bit harder because one is on DAZN and the other is on ESPN. This is all pretty easy information to get a hold of, unless we don't actually want the facts? Got it.

Happy to be of assistance, man. I get no pleasure from seeing dudes make fools of 'emselves over simple factual errors.
Now then... we got at 168 Benavidez who has beaten one former champ (Dog Dirrell who is even less accomplished than Cloud and maybe on par with hard luck Gabe) and Plant who actually has beaten precisely zero incumbent or former champs. And Saunders of course who has a Win over Andy Lee who has precisely the same zero defenses as Tony Dog.
At 175 there's Beterbiev - unified champ with wins over 3 Champs or former champs and there's Bivol with one win over a former champ (Pascal) and one title.
Now I fully agree, Beterbiev vs Bivol should be the fight we're asking for and way I see it there's no need for Canelo to fight Artur or indeed any other LHW (though I reckon Saul vs Smithy could be fun) but if you're bringing up Beterbievs record as a reason for Canelo not to fight him then you got a bit of a problem cos it's actually the best there is at either 168 or 175 by a margin. So you're kinda saying whoever he fights at either weight is a waste of time.... right?Comment

I don't understand the hate. At all. Beterbieve has never ducked anybody, and it's not like he ever talked trash about canelo, a reporter asked him if he'd fight him and he said sure. Why the hate.Comment

I'd actually want to see a Canelo/Beterbiev fight. I think it's winnable. But it would be Canelo/GGG all over again. If Canelo were to get the win, people would cry foul, "oh he was too old, he made Beterbiev wait, he blah blah blah"Last edited by El_Maldito_Rey; 03-18-2021, 11:38 AM.Comment

Agree Beterbiev vs. Bivol needs to happen but there's no evidence either guy is ducking. Beterbiev just risked his belt against Gvodzyk, why would he be scared of Bivol. Bivol has always faced top comp, he dominated Joe Smith who will soon be a champion and Jean Pascal who is a champion. The fight will happen, it just takes time since they're on different networks and have different mandatories.
Beterbiev and Bivol have been champs for years now. There's no excuse as to why that fight shouldn't have been made by now.
You and others cry that Canelo should've already made the fight with Beterbeiv or Bivol, but excuse Beterbiev and Bivol not fighting each other.Comment

I'm just bringing up the double standards from others crying about Canelo/Advil while praising Beterbiev/Dennys.

Canelo does come in for a good deal more criticism than other fighters though - and maybe unfairly so at times - partly cos of his fanbase which is just as irritating as other fanbases, but partly because he has got more options than any other fighter alive and not just one but two sanctioning bodies willing to trip over their own pants to do his every bidding. That said if you're the kinda dude that likes to take shots at other fighters I can't see you're in much position to complain when dudes poke fun at a guy you support. Glass houses, y'know?
Make no mistake I got huge respect for Canelo and his achievements and he had to have both the ability and the self belief to take the path he did, but he's also about the most privileged fighter in recent memory and has been granted opportunities from an early age that most fighters could only dream of.Comment

Oh shut up. You're the one constantly crying about Canelo/Charlo.

Bivol and Beterbiev and Charlo dont have that kinda power. You can't be a ducker if you don't have power.Comment

All I'm saying is Canelo is trying to unify the division, something no Latino fighter has ever done, he gets eviscerated by haters, "oh he's not fighting my guy, he's not fighting that guy, he's not moving up, he's not moving down" Same nonsense.
In fact, this thread doesn't even have anything to do with him, and yet he was brought up first before Bivol!
Beterbiev is lined up to fight a can after a 2 year layoff and still has no intention of fighting Bivol, it's "well this is an mandatory, well we have to wait, they're on different networks, it takes time"Comment
