Every Texas judge will eventually get suspended if they go down this road

They will likely accept his lame explanation of his scorecard and reinstate him. I remember when Eugenia Williams turned in that ridiculous score for Lewis-Holyfield I. She was summoned to the athletic commissioner's office. They bought her explanation and she was soon back getting judging assignments. So I doubt there will be any real consequences for this crook, especially with the WBA in charge.Comment

It's not much, and I doubt the 'investigation' will produce much of anything, but I can't recall the last time a judge was suspended. A small step maybe.
I remember one of the judges (Miguel Donate) who scored the Fenech v Nelson I fight being blacklisted by the WBC (reportedly) but that was unofficial.
Adalaide Byrd was criticised heavily for her scoring of GGG v Canelo I, but again nothing official.
It's times like these boxing would benefit from having a unified sanctioning body.Comment

When ANY corrupt organisation (including a country's government) suddenly decides to take action against one person it;s because they wanted to get rid of them anyway.
This also acts as a sort of pressure gauge to those who say the whole sport is corrupt, now they can say "Yeah but what about that one (!) judge that was suspended'? while conveniently ignoring the other 9,999,999,999 corrupt, incompetent dog shytes!!!
Probably a family member/friend of someone who did the firing will fill his place. This is how the world works.Comment

A Venezuelan living in Florida scoring against the FSLN supporting Chocolatito... Florida is a refuge for rightwing Cubans and other South Americans. The US supported and funded rightwing death squads against the Sandinistas. Chocolatito and his team should've been smarter.Comment

It was a close fight could have gone either way or a draw.
The problem was judge Carlos Sucre, Who Scored 117-111 for Chocolatito?
What the hell was that? If he would have scored the fight a draw or 1 or 2 points for Chocolatito there would not be an uproar.
This is Adalaide Byrd all over again!

That is not going to solve the issue. The real issue is the state of Texas; It's governing body. The Texas State Athletic Commission who tends to be both partial and biased in favor of Chicano fighters over non Chicano fighters.Comment
