From Middle Weight to Light Heavyweight the competition is below par in my opinion, that is one of the major reasons why Alvarez is having big success 'I don't think Alvarez would of survived in the 90's or even 2000's in the middle weight divisions'.
Carl Froch would of beaten down Alvarez, after wading through his attacks.

His stamina is also nowhere near good enough to survive.
Alvarez is not a all-time great middleweight.

I think BJS has the talent and if he'd spent the last 5 years honing that talent by fighting top quality opponents instead of blowing up to 200Lbs between mediocre performances against C listers, he'd have a very good chance. Fighters develop by fighting other good fighters and BJS for all his natural ability has failed to do what he needs to to prepare him for this kinda challenge.
I wouldn't say Canelo's a more naturally gifted boxer, but he has become one of the best fighters in the world by facing elite or high level opposition over and over. BJS most definitely hasn't.
That said, Canelo brings pressure like nobody I have seen, so even the slickest version of BJS, even the slickest version of Mayweather may not be able to keep this 2021 version of this lad off of them. He is that good. Golovkin is an absolute come forward monster (forget the haters on here, Canelo and GGG are legit HOF fighters who battled in two great fights) - and Canelo actually backed GGG up at times (I hope they fight again as it's 1-1 in most people's minds). Anyway, Saunders has the feet of Khan (which troubled Canelo), the quick hands and awkwardness to make it interesting, but he needs to be polished and to believe in himself. Who knows. In my breakdown, I believe that BJS can and will keep Canelo off him for a good chunk of the fight, maybe winning a lot of the first 6 or 8 rounds. But as a boxer, I can tell you winning by moving away from a pressure guy and picking them off from the back foot usually means pot shotting and stealing rounds. This is very tiring as fook mentally and physically and it can feel inevitable that the tide will turn. I think Canelo's pressure will turn the tide, he is simply that good. A super fit, dialed in BJS would be the kinda guy that might just beat this kid, I just can't see him (Saunders) having the dedication and focus to bring that level of ability off the back foot, and while winning rounds, for 12 rounds. Canelo on points after taking over the fight about halfway through. Will be good, as BJS is tough, and when he realizes he is getting behind he will have a fight. Looking forward to it.

Scorecards were 96-94 Canelo (twice) and 95-95 when the fight was stopped. . .that was fair..

Out of all the fights you mentioned the only ones which were "favorable" are GGG 1 and Floyd Mayweather. The lone Floyd "draw" card didn't matter and a draw was acceptable in the GGG 1 fight...you're really overreaching saying Canelo always gets robberies.
If you want to talk about Canelo cheating well you have ground to stand on there but for the most part his fights have been okay. GGG 1 and Floyd were bad cards. GGG 1 draw was acceptable although GGG shouldve gotten the nod (even so, it was a 7-5 decision) but the Floyd fight was far from a draw.
GGG 2, Lara, Kovalev, and Cotto were all good scorecards.Last edited by #1PaperChamp; 03-14-2021, 07:38 PM.
