I have a very limited interest in women’s boxing mainly due to the lack of depth in regards to talent but this is the type of female matchup I’d be interested in seeing. Women’s boxing needs fights like Taylor-Persoon, Shields-Marshall to happen in order for it to grow.

Pretty much all comments from US and guessing none of them have actually seen Marshall fight. Personally I’ve no doubt she’ll stop Shields. She’s number 1 p4p in my opinion and Shields is ducking her /wanting a pay day as she’ll lose. The rematch clause is there to sell it to her - doesn’t want to be in same boat as Loma.

Marshall didn’t just beat her in the amatuers, she beat her easily and she’s got a lot better as a pro. She hits hard. She’ll knock her out. Better reach, more fluid, better feet - you know, all those things that anyone with half a clue can recognise in a quality fighter.
