See I said this last week, that the excuse about him staying in New Zealand and how Barry training his boxers in America and all these BS about Parker and his young 3 daughters and wife etc was just that BS.

That alcoholic manager of his Higgins already said he needs to be in the UK soon enough for the Chisora fight to be sealed, and that fight wasn’t going to happen in New Zealand, so no way was he going to stay in New Zealand because of his young family when he has potential money fights in the UK waiting for him.

I knew he would have to either relocate and find a trainer in the UK over the next 18 months at least. This is where the money is for a lot of these mediocre to top 10 HW.

In short, him and Barry didn’t split because of the location.

Jeff Fenech would have been better (closer to home as well/better sparring in Aussie ect)...will be interesting If Lee will base himself in NZ should Parker get through Chisora so Parker can "stay close to his family"....or maybe Hearn has him lined up for the Whyte vs povetkin winner??

It did say Lee will train him for his next fight & they will see how it goes. Sound like there is no long time commitment made yet. He will be fighting Chisora in England. May is the targeted date so he would have to start camp soon plus there must be a quarantine upon arrival. I think him & KB were going to split soon regardless. Barry has several fighters he trains in the US that have title fights coming from my understanding. I think it was a mutual thing that they part ways. They had a good run but Parker hit a plateau. A new voice was needed. Parker knew it & I’m sure Barry knew it too. They parted in good terms. Barry & Parker made a lot of working together. It was nice to see them spilt on good terms...

And that's it right there. Of course they parted on good terms. But the Parker wanted to be with his young daughters in New zealand thing wasn't really a strong point.

Actually, Lee was born and raised in England and didn't move to Ireland with his family until he was 14 years old. I think that makes him from the UK.

Don't think Lee is who he should be going with considering he doesn't have much experience. Shane would be a good fit i think for his style.
