Comments Thread For: Matias-Jukembayev, Ritson-Ponce IBF 140-Pound Title Eliminators In Play

The winner of the forthcoming undisputed junior welterweight championship showdown between Jose Ramirez and Josh Taylor will have several mandatory challengers waiting in the wings. At least one doesn't plan to get in the way of the aforementioned fight or the immediate plans for whomever ultimately prevails.

IBF with an actual great mandatory in the making. The winner of Matias-Jukembaev will be the mando because Ritson and Ponce just aren't as good from what I've seen.

Good for Browny! Prograis is wack for not fighting Barrios or Browny, and choosing Redkach! Booo!

Thank You IBF! This is how Mandatory's/#1 Rankings need to be determined for all Belt Organizations. Let the Top 4 Guys in your Rankings fight it out for that shot!

No thank you IBF!! Did the IBF pretend that Matias didn't just get beaten and almost knocked out by Petros Ananyan who should be the one getting the shot?

Now that I'm looking at IBF rankings...kinda puzzled. Liam Paro and Ergashev are 3rd and 4th in the rankings. Ponce, Ritson, Matias, Jukembayev are 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. And how exactly is Prograis only 9th? The Ananyan things makes sense. He wasn't even top 15 when he beat Matias so he wouldn't vault all the way up with just one win. And hasn't fought since then. Either way, the IBF rankings for Super Lightweight contains some very good fighters.

Great article. Very informative. No opinions. This was perfection. Boxing News 24 should hire some of these people from boxing scene. You can only do so much with of what Ellie gives you at ESNEWS on youtube
