And how exactly is Prograis only 9th? The Ananyan things makes sense. He wasn't even top 15 when he beat Matias so he wouldn't vault all the way up with just one win. And hasn't fought since then. Either way, the IBF rankings for Super Lightweight contains some very good fighters.
It makes NO sense regarding Annanyan when it's boxing boxing politics that once again get in the way. Ananyan clearly beat Matias and had him badly hurt and won the fight. In a proper world it is the winner, not the loser who deserves the shot. No way in HELL should Matias be ranked above the guy who beat him - and who the hell did Ritson beat that is a bigger win than the one Ananyan had over Matias? Or for that matter who did Ponce beat that was a bigger win than beating Matias? For that matter, Ergashev just beat a 9-3-1 fighter so who did he beat that is better than Matias??! Not to mention who Paro beat!???!!! Yes Ananyan was FUCKED! In Covid times all of them had some time away from the ring!
