168 is a fairly weak division and canelo and his fans have been trying to pretend that Benavidez doesn’t exist because he is by far the biggest threat in the division. Now Benavidez didn’t do himself any favors by losing his title on the scales, but don’t think for a second that had he still been champion, that canelo would’ve been singing the same tune about becoming undisputed at 168. That talk only started after Benavidez lost the titles on the scales and then the wbc worked with canelo to shamelessly add their title as part of his fight vs smith in a 2 title for 1 special.

It’s the fight to make but I blame Benavides more than Canelo that it isn’t happening. Losing your title on the scales is about the least professional thing a professional fighter can do.

If you can't make weight its your own fault. Now he fights bum while calling out Canelo...yawn

Some of you mofos don’t understand boxing! How is Canelo goong to become undisputed champ at 168? Are you giys mentally limited. What has Benavidez done to get a shot at Canelo? Benavidez is a hit and miss fighter. He has no discipline to fight the man! Canelo beat everyone at 168 got it?

Benavidez has the best chance at beating Canelo IMO. Yes, I believe he could knock him out. I've never seen him in distress in any fight. I can't deny what a slip it was for him to not make weight and lose his belt. Others have done the same. Because with this pandemic, things aren't the same and timing of the weight loss is critical.
For me I see Saunders 50-50 and then Plant has a very good chance too. Plant won't let him get near. Benavidez would probably land some haymakers. If Alvarez can get past that, hats off to him and he deserves accolades. Not a cake walk for sure. Just a thought though, a Saunders win would really change the scenery here. This is all good for boxing.

Benevidez has awful footwork, he is slow as a Sloth compared to Canelo, he lunges and loops his shots. Canelo would two piece him like a Church’s chicken special

Canelo has a great chin, almost granite like. I don't know if it's pound for pound like the china of guys that were never knocked down, like Oliver McCall and George Chuvalo, but it's strong.

Benavidez wouldn't knock him out, but could give him a helluva fight.
