Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor's Trainer: Ramirez Fight Could Be Tougher Than Prograis War

by Tris Dixon - All of the light-welterweight marbles will be on the line when Scot Josh Taylor and Californian Jose Carlos Ramirez meet to unify the crown on May 22. Taylor, 17-0, holds the WBA and IBF titles having emerged victorious from the World Boxing Super Series at 140lbs. Forgot Taylor was now trained by this joke coach. He should have went to an Ingle or Tibbs, somebody with experience. It seems MTK push all their new signings towards Davison though. Davison will be taking a flat fee as well most probably, Josh probably wanted the cheapest option possible after having to pay half his purses to Barry McGuigan.

Can't believe all these young studs calling out Pacquiao--like he's getting younger. Pac should retire so the youngsters will have to fight each other.

I’ve only watched Ramirez labour through Postol and go to war with hooker.

id say Davison had failed if Ramirez is harder than Prograis

Why are guys with less than 20 fights champions nowadays? And fighting bums. Is boxing that bad? Fighters used to have more than 30 fights some time ago to fiht for a belt.

'id say Davison had failed if Ramirez is harder than Prograis'. No he said it could be harder. Ramirez has a way to fight & if Josh obediently fits it then it'll be even harder than Regis. If Josh boxes intelligently then it'll be a lot easier because Ramirez isn't capable of changing tactics in the middle of a fight in the way Regis Prograis is.

Prograis/Taylor was the 2019 fight of the year and it was absolutely the perfect boxing match. Two guys with high boxing IQ and boxing skills trying to out think the other. It was beautiful. One of my most favorite fights ever. And I had it a draw. If it was in america.. Prograis would have won. But it was in the U.K.
