Joseph Parker splits from Kevin Barry - reports

Media in NZ is reporting that Parker has split from Kevin Barry.

Honestly, I didn't think he would be able to do it. Barry and his wife has been essentially family to Parker for so many years, I thought the attachment would be too hard for Parker to break.

But I am relieved it's finally done. Parker has gone as far as he could under Barry and it was time to change.

Might be a little too late - I remember when Parker was an up-and-coming prospect, it doesn't look like much has been added to his game since then. Hopefully he can pull things around though.

Parker is a talented lad, I think if it's true its the smart move aslong as he picks his next one sensibly.

Its a shame though, there's always seemed to of been a strong bond between them, if true I hope its been an amicable split.

Should have done so years back. KB is good for getting fighters to a certain level then they seem to just hit a roadblock and begin to become stagnant where they should be just entering their primes/peaks.

For as many tools and physical attributes Parker has he don't half look flat and disinterested almost far too often.
Not even because he is hot right now but I think Eddy Reyneso would really compliment Parkers style and help get the best out of him.

Happy for him, about time. I said this to another poster on here over the last 24 hours. His performance need to be reviewed because it was terrible.
