This guy was ranked number 1 before Canelo even moved to 168, I found out that Yildrim was aligned with PBC and that makes sense why he was mandated TWICE for the belt, even after failing a drug test.

So you really have to start questioning the role of the WBC and PBC together.

Yildrim already fought for the belt and lost, he was then mandated to fight Benavidez, who then lost the belt on the scales. Canelo only just inherited him as a mandatory.

I understand that somebody who wouldn't have a chance against a champion sometimes does actually earn the right to have his go but Yildrim hadn't fought in 2 years and lost his last fight before that. That shouldn't be earning you a title shot. Where is the actions that raised him in rankings? Losing followed by doing nothing.
I guess the “Committee” deem him capable after losing to dirrell.

Sampson who happens to be benavidez manager, claimed they are fighting Yildrim instead of Plant back on 2019 ending/2020 beginning.

He claimed they want to build up the Plant fight, and Yildrim the (Mandatory was their next fight), then Yildrim failed a drug test, the WBC then cleared him with a written statement that was put out. And they still made him their mandatory..... So the benavidez fight was going to go ahead as planned by Sampson.

The sanctioning bodies are a farce. How in the Hell did this bum ever became the mandatory challenger to Canelo? I am not blaming Canelo at all. He did what he had to do or risk being stripped of his title like he was against Sergei Derevyanchenko for the IBF middleweight title. This guy just showed up, laid down and refused to try to collect an easy pay day. Unless, he sustained an injury; Then I would never allow him to ever fight again. If you don't want to fight then stay out the ring Goddamn it!

          It looks like you're right.

Yildirim's push to the top of the rankings came long before Canelo moved up. And that push is owed to PBC and Al Haymon, who also had a piece of the WBC champion David Benavidez.

Basically PBC is responsible for Yldirim being in the mandatory position.

If Canelo completes his stated goal of fighting 5 times in 12 months then I give it a pass. In most years Canelo would fight in September or December and then not again until May. In essence this was a freebie to get the mandatory out of the way. Yidirim had no shot but if we get BJS and Plant in May/September then Canelo’s still on pace for another fighter of the year award. If all goes well he takes another fight in December.

I've never been a cultist. I just defend them when I think it's warranted, but I criticize them when I think it's warranted too.

In this case Yildirim's mando spot can be traced right back to PBC. With the WBC's participation obviously.
