  • Comments Thread For: Benavidez: I Feel Like I'm On A Collision Course For Rematch With Dirrell

David Benavidez envisions at least one rematch in his near future. The former two-time WBC super middleweight titlist remains an interested observer for Saturday's title eliminator between Anthony Dirrell and Kyrone Davis, which airs live on Fox from Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The bout represents one-half of a four-man tournament as imposed by the WBC, with the intention to establish a mandatory challenger for its super middleweight crown.

What can the man do, everyone ducking him. Plant doesnt want none, Jermall doesnt want any... They trying to freeze the real man of the division out.

That was more understandable as Ortiz was beating Wilder before being stopped (both times) whereas Dirrell lost every round. It's just a pointless fight in terms of status, excitement, and competitiveness. I like DB, but he needs to start fighting better guys.

Instead of that, they need to do Plant/Dirrell in the Spring before Canelo in the Fall

I don't think much of Dirrell, nothing Beni should be considering, he already beat him quite easily.
