Comments Thread For: Canelo: Boxing Should Have Only One Champion Per Weight Class

Canelo Alvarez is looking to become the first undisputed Mexican super middleweight champion in boxing history. Boxing's biggest superstar currently owns the WBA, WBC and Ring Magazine titles at 168 pounds. He plans on fighting the division's other titleholders in WBO champion Billy Joe Saunders in May, and IBF champion Caleb Plant by September.

I agree with Canelo, pretty much every casual fan & most hardcore fans. Boxing makes no sense outside the ring. And multiple "world" champs is one of the most basic things that makes no sense.

But then people won't be able to say "so and so fought this many champions."

Well if you keep saying something canelo , people will take notice. Keep putting the pressure on them and they should eventually have to do something about it due to public outcry .

Would Canelo have ever been a world champion if there was one champion per division?

          Nope.

          Then why say such? PR.

          154 Floyd
          160 GGG
          168 "I'm a small middleweight"
          175 "I'm a small middleweight"

"I fought the best at 168" but only after they looked extremely vulnerable against a nobody. Refused to conceed any of his 35 million guarentee before Ryder but after Ryder I'll fight Smith for peanuts.

"I fought the best at 175" in an over the hill Kovalev that literally almost got KTFO by a euro league talent. I also needed him to have a short camp for this fight and slapped him with a 10lb rehydration clause.

Literally the first time Canelo could have ever become a champion is 2018 when he "won" a controversial close decision over GGG.

I don’t agree with Canelo but it’s a problem with 4 world championships in each division and then you have all these other Super Champion belts, grandma champion etc. If you had 2 however you could build way more super fights within each division. All these multiple weight champions wouldn’t exist like they do only the exceptional would accomplish that task.

This is absolutely hilarious. It’s also further proof that even when Canelo speaks 100% truth that is universally agreed upon there will always be someone that will find something wrong said by Canelo and just b itch to b itch. I bet they could post an article how Canelo proclaims the sky is blue but you’ll be first in here to B itch on how that’s not the case and Canelo is ducking clouds so therefore it has the appearance of blue.

Its funny as hell. Dudes want to disagree just because Canelo said it.

If he stated that 2+2=4 then phaggots like PeepeePoopooMan would be whining and crying that it isn't true.
