Comments Thread For: Arum Angry With Hearn For Lopez-Kambosos Purse Bid: Next Time...

Two of boxing's biggest promoters might have a beef to settle, at least of the purse bid variety. Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn ($3,506,000) outbid Top Rank boss Arum ($2,315,000) during the Teofimo Lopez Jr. and George Kambosos Jr. IBF purse bid on Thursday, only to have Triller owner Ryan Kavanaugh trump them both with a winning sum more than double their amounts in $6,018,000.

Arum did warn Hearn not to bid on this last week. Will be interesting to see if Arum really does bid for a non-TR purse bid involving a Matchroom fighter next time.

No idea why I cannot the embed the tweet. Honestly this board is pretty terrible now. Sometimes that option shows up and sometimes it does not. SMH.

How dare a boxing promoter bid on a boxing match!

Eddie the snake just ruined that relationship for no reason lol. He lost the purse bid and lost a business partner.

Why even have purse bids if the fix is going to be in? Arum just being a cheap ****.

Lots of dumb boxing fans inquiring why DAZN would be interested. DAZN Aussie is also 2 quid a month. Also people don’t realize this is a platform DiBella needs. He tried helping Wilder’s dumbass to DAZN and he riffed out his position. DiBella wants all parts of DAZN. Isn’t this obvious

Arum really resents having to pay his own guys, he's not gonna bid to overpay Hearn's fighters

worst case scenario for hearn. was threatened by arum to not bid, he bids anyway beating out espn but dark horse thriller out of nowhere beats them all. so hearn doesn't win the fight and still likely ruined a business relationship going forward with top rank. so it was for nothing
