Calzaghe, although his style was very unorthodoxed, but that doesn't mean it's not boxing skil.. Remember, after Calzaghe was injured which indeed destroyed his power, he then relied on boxing out his opponents, much like what he did to Mikkel Kessler. JCC isn't really known to be much of a boxer, although his skills were underated, much like Roberto Duran's boxing skills were underated due to when he did brawl, which is more easy for the eye's which infact overshadow'd his boxing ability.

Agree with this - how I see it is, both Chavez Sr. and Calzaghe were skilled guys whose stamina/workrate, mental toughness and ability to take hits took them to elite level.

And Calzaghes face was fine after the fight its in my gif image aswell, and so was Hopkins. Neither of them are knockout artists.
the "old" man made him kiss the floor.

**** that JCC is the more skilled. He was a great body puncher, probably the best ever at it. Skillwise JCC is as good as Barrera.

I personally think that Chavez had the better punching technique with a precise, accurate attack to the body and the head. He was rather slow on his feet though but slipped punches very well.
