  • Fury waffling about the fight

More bs from Fury. He won't come out and say it will happen. A lot of us on here have been apprehensive about this guy's waffling - don't trust him, he will weasel out for sure.

Yes, things definitely seem to be unraveling now. Even Anthony Joshua is unsure whether or not that fight happens himself. Deontay Wilder has Tyson Fury, Bob Arum, Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren all by the balls now and won't let go. Team Fury only has itself to blame. They signed the rematch clause so now it's time exercise it and Team Wilder with Shelly Finkel would never let them live this down. That is what's holding up the fight but they are just too afraid of admitting it.

Nah, Wilder is a pathalogial liar and a poor loser. That isn't the holdup. Fury wants to duck AJ, just like Wilder did. Wilder is irrelevant now, he can fight Charles Martin, that's a 50/50 fight.

Fury knows he won’t win against A.J off a long layoff . I was the first one on here saying he’d use that as the excuse weeks ago if he talked about long layoffs the next day ? Hmmmm

He cherry picked Wilder even out of shape ,he’s shook the ring rust off but if he’s anything less then 85% off form he’s going to lose badly here .

He’s probably hinting he’s going to fight soon then postpone A.J for I would guess Oct.Nov ? Either way he’s actually saying A.J is to good for him if he’s not at his best without saying it .

Looks like that mediation with Wilder wasn't to Fury's liking?

I agree mate, been saying same. Although I am skeptical whether it will even happen in the fall - Fury is sh****ng his pants, he knows he's getting exposed.
Hope I am wrong, I really really wanna see this fight, may go, even if it's Saudi.

Maybe this is a way of selling the fight. Does anyone outside of England care if this fight happens? I get the significance of the fight, being for the undisputed championship, but I don’t really carry for either fighter. So personally I don’t care if this fight happens.

Fury has not fought in while. He was much sharper agains Wilder after the two bums he fights. TR and Arum will be okay with Fury facing a couple of bums before facing AJ. He simply should had taken the third Wilder fight and the problem would had been solved.

Anyone who has been following boxing has seen the upsets that corona inactivity has caused, it feels like every fight that I have watched of late (or at least the upsets) the winner has been the more active of the 2 during the pandemic or had the least time out of ring in comparison to the other. I picked Fury to win this but the longer it goes the worse it looks for him and if I was him I would be worrying as well, seeing things like Warrington and others happen.

I just listened to Eddie Hearn talking to IFL about the fights over the weekend & he said the usual "its close" about Fury vs AJ, but also said they'll be looking into securing a location starting this week. So that would seem to imply a date is forthcoming. But who fooking knows at this point. Its been "close" for a couple months now according to Eddie.

I don't really understand Fury saying in that article that they are as close today as they were a year ago. If thats true then they either had the fight all but locked up a year ago or the fight is definitely not happening next cuz there is too wide a divide.

That said on the Sunday Puncher podcast they keep hyping that they think the Fury/Wilder arbitration is going poorly for Fury & that Fury will either have to fight Wilder next or will have to give him a nice bag of cash. So who fooking knows whats going on with this whole situation among the top 3 guy, or ex-top 3 I guess, at HW.
