    Nearly one million viewers watched Oscar Valdez's career-defining knockout of Miguel Berchelt on ESPN. According to viewership figures released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research, Valdez-Berchelt was watched by an average audience of approximately 895,000 on Saturday night. Viewership peaked at 960,000 toward the end of Valdez's impressive upset of Berchelt in the 10th round of their scheduled 12-round, 130-pound title fight at MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

      Good numbers. Had a good lead in that helped but Valdez always does solid numbers. This fight deserved these types of numbers or a bit better. Valdez with a star making performance, you love to see it!

              Good Fight like this should break 1 Million Easily and it is no more College Football or anything to go up against it

              Boxing is not gaining new fans and that does concern me compared to say MMA particularly UFC who has broke 1 Million PPV Buys comfortably during this Pandemic. The More Divisive Fans and Promoters are the worse things will only become

              With that being said, boxing as a WHOLE never been that popular it was always only certain fighters who got the big numbers

                  Ratings are not the same anymore with streaming being implemented more than ever. These ratings were not bad at all. People need to temper their expectations. The entire card averaged over 700k viewers while the main event averaged almost 900k viewers.

                  Let's see what Valdez does next time around. That's the important thing here.
