stance. Even Clottey's corner was telling him to let his
    hands go.
i see what your saying..but the thing is clottey does usually come forward but he is more of a counter-puncher than a boxer-puncher..i mean telling clottey he should of thrown more punches is almost like saying that to bernard hopkins..its just not part of their style to have a huge workrate

Again, all this proves is Mosley ducks American fighters
No way is Berto a better fighter and no way is his resume better. Berto's best win is a debatable win over Collazo. Clottey beat Judah, lost a RAZOR THIN fight against Cotto and was dominating Margarito until breaking both hands. Clottey is in another league than Berto. Another league altogether

mosley deserves the date, but how about a compromise and pwill fights on the undercard...

2.fight a contender not a new guy coming up..
              3.Keep his WW status up

CLottey has fought and lost to top WW..rito and Cotto..Shane would be stacking his resume up and solidifying his WW status..fighting Berto would do absolutely nothing for his legacy..Everybody will say..well its what we expected..bertos too young..he hasnt fougth anybody but collazo who he really lost to.
That dude is an idiot, this is a great fight for Shane & if he beats clottey in a better fashion than cotto did witch I think he will it wud lead to a big rematch with cotto & if cotto beats PAC thats big $ for Shane in a rematch. I doubt Floyd will fight cotto if cotto beats PAC or at least not anytime soon so ssm beating clottey in good fashion puts him in line for the big fight he's been waiting for

Joshua put on a great show against Cotto. This combined with his new found name recognition makes this a viable contest ratings wise. It could be a better battle then anticipated.
If the Pavlik who lost to Hopkins shows up on December 5th, it will be short night. If Kelly can vanquish the demons which appear to be beckoning him presently, Paul will have his hands full. There are still over 90 days to get through for both combatants.
It would be premature to disgard Pavlik before we see how his training and personal life center themselves during this time span.

How the hell are they going to let Mosley and Clottey fight on the day after Christmas? That fight will totally bomb with TV viewers and at the gate and it will hurt Mosley's leverage to get bigger fights because of it. That will be true even if he wins impressively. Just make the fight for Oct 3rd and let the Pavlik-Williams fight happen on Dec 5. This **** is not rocket science.
