Abner Mares Dominates, Stays on Path to Title Shot

I missed the first two rounds of his fight last night (mares) but let me say this...

im highly impressed with what i see from him. he's got a ton of speed, very very very good stamina, and has some technical ability in there. he knows how to duck and slip punches and make his opponent pay...the true definition of the sport.

he seems very ahead of what his experience says. he looks like a guy who has had the experience of the 35 or more pro fights.

i cant wait to see what he turns into...and if he continues how he is right now he's going to crack top 10 and be 25 and 0. haha.

he's very advanced for his experience. i still think they should test him a bit more before bumping him up to a title shot. i think thats a huge mistake (ie. to move the fighter up too quick). he hasnt even had 20 pro fights.

i say let me grow for another year first. just my opinion. he had a great fight though.

thanks guys. Glad to see you guys like Mares. I felt there are still some things he needs to work on but over all we are very happy on how he looked. I'm not sure he will be on that Sept. 19th card anymore. But we will keep him busy!


hmmmm maybe under the Vazquez comeback card on October 10th! We will see...
