If he hadn't been such fantastic boxer (and "had been" is the right word), he'd be laughing stock.
James Toney: "None of The Russian Chumps Want It"

Their fans wanted them to fight Toney when Toney was still a credible top 10 fighter, a few years ago, but Toney turned the fight down when he was offered it.
You may as well ask why the Klitschkos don't want to fight Oquendo. Oquendo has proved that he is better than the current version of Toney.
Toney was a great fighter once but he is washed up now and your inability to face reality is quite extraordinary. Either you're just trolling or you're too busy sucking his balls to be aware of the world around you.Last edited by Dave Rado; 08-28-2009, 12:30 PM.Comment

They would lose all credibility if they started fighting washed up has-beens who aren't ranked among the top 40 heavyweights.

1)Bull****, Oquendo never mattered, he was always a stepping stone for the other Heavyweight champions in order to make them win a title defense. Not a journeyman either. Oquendo is a decent world class heavyweight, that"s it. At least, he's always in shape and respect the sport of boxing.
2)Another bull****: I NEVER said that Toney would beat the Klitschko, i said i HOPED he had 2 or 3 fights left in him. So don't invent things i never said.Comment

Please explain how Matthew Greer (who has a 12-5 record) matters.
Oquendo matters purely in the sense that everyone who saw the fight believes he beat Toney. If he wanted to regain the slightest credibility, Toney would rematch him and beat him convincingly.Last edited by Dave Rado; 08-28-2009, 12:25 PM.Comment

Toney needs to retire imo, the dude is serious slurring his words now. How on earth is he passing the various medical tests to box?
He should try to make a fight with Hopkins and if not then retire.Comment

You said "Question to Klitschko fans: Why don't you want Wlad or Vitali to fight him?". That shows a total loss of contact with reality. No credible champion would fight someone who is now ranked #43 in the world by boxrec, who is about to fight someone with a 12-5 record, and who in the opinion of almost everyone deserved to lose his last fight, which was against someone who isn't ranked in the top 20.Comment
