Most underrated fighter of the past 15 years

Who do you got as the most underrated guy of the past 15 years???

I will have to go with Oscar De La Hoya. I don't mean underrated as in nobody knows who he is, because it's the total opposite. They guy has just never really gotten the props as the real champ he was. He was an amateur standout and won an Olympic gold medal. They guy had one of the best left hooks in the business. Great footwork. Always had his chin tucked, good chin. Fought anybody that was put infront of him. Gave everyone he fought alot of problems (except Pacquaio). Great finisher, often made entertaining fights (Mosley 1 and Quartey). Very poised and relaxed fighter. Used his jab properly. Had an laright defense. When I come here I read DLH is overrated and stuff like that and almost no one gives him props for him accomplishments including becoming a 6 division world champion. Sure as a promoter he is greedy and what not, but I thought he outboxed easily a monster in Trinidad with a masterful gameplan. Oscar De La Hoya the most underrated fighter of the past 15 years to me.

Dariusz Michalczewski. Mainly because he won 48 straight fights and scored 38 knockouts, making 23 title defenses and yet everybody (read=Americans) said he was ducking Roy Jones and wasn't fighting the best guys in the division. He didn't fight William Guthrie because the IBF mandated him to fight him within 90 days, just after he won the title. Ever heard of that? A boxing organisation ordering its champion to fight in three months or else he's gonna be stripped?

Another underated, good European fighter: Graciano Rocchigiani who beat Michael Nunn for the WBC lhw title but was later stripped without being given a possibility to fight Jones for it.

true DLH would have dominated the WW scene were it not for an ATG - SSM.

look at any number of WW's around today - pbf, hatton, clottey, cotto, margarito, berto, collazo. i think we can quite positively say that DLH would beat every single one of them the only guys i think DLH would have really stuggled with over the last 20 years are williams and SSM

Even if I wasn't a DLH fan I would still call that a schooling. Watched the Paulie/Diaz fight sober....Paulie won and I'm a Diaz fan and he's Mexican. Try again.
