Pavlik has a high workrate and that is just horrible for Roy at this stage.

Roy may still have pretty quick hands and great natural skills but he doesn't have the tools that someone like Bernard does to be able to offset Kelly's volume.

Roy would probably start pretty well but after the first few rounds he would start to tire and try to pick his spots and he would just get overwhelmed by Pavlik's power.

I'd pick Pavlik by stoppage, probably some time after the 9th.

I think Pavlik has enough pressure and power to KO Roy. If Roy moved around and potshot Kelly he could win a decision but laying on the ropes would indeed most likely end with him out cold again.

Whilst I agree with this it doesn't change the fact that Pavlik is all wrong for Roy at this stage of his career.

Roy's objective right now is to avoid volume punchers, and that is precisely what Kelly is.

Styles make fight. Roy doesn't use his legs or have good defense. He will go to the ropes and Pavclik would outwork him there and probably stop him. You can make all the assumptions you want, but Roy is done. And no, Roy is not better than Hopkins legacy wise. prime for prime Roy is better, but ROy is not better than Hopkins now.
