I'm not a Mayweather fan, but boxing is much better with him.

It's really annoying when people hate. You'll never be able to do what Floyd can do in the ring. You need to show some respect. What's wrong with a highly skilled defensive fighter? I don't see anything wrong with it. If you do, then you don't appreciate the "sweet science" as much as you say you do. Like I said before, I'm not a huge Mayweather fan. My favorite fighter is Miguel Cotto. I also like Pacquiao over Mayweather, but the man is ****ing gifted in the ring and brings a lot of attention and money to the sport. You have to appreciate that.

To say I cant be better is a ****** thing to say. I dont think he is all that and You dont even know who i am or what im about. People like me are taught you can do what you want and be what you want if you work hard at it. By the sound of your comment you seem to be the kind of person that cant see achieving goals beyond your belief. I call that a loser. Floyd would be the last boxer on earth Id want to be like. I fight when I get in the ring ...not run Or clinch. AKA Defensive Style. Boring and non ticket selling Fight ducking punk. You're right....Ill NEVER Do what he has done....EVER!!!!

Which definitely helps get casual fans attention, but the problem I have with this is that Floyd Mayweather fights just do not deliver excitement.

            .

How long have you been a fan of boxing?

Willie Pep was defensive and he's a top 5 ATG...and Floyd doesn't do a whole lotta clinching...

People point at one Floyd fight where he boxed and moved and did very little engaging and now he's a runner regardless of the work he did from 130-140 where he put guys on there ass...

I know that there are people who can appreciate a tactical approach to the sweet science, but the problem is that these aren't the casual fans. The casual fans want to see a fight!

This is the only problem I have with Floyd promoting fights as wars, battles, and extravaganzas, then he cautiously slips and shoulder rolls his way to boring decisions.

Give me excitement in the ring, and keep your circus. I love to see fighters talk less, and let their leather do the talking. Fighters like Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, and of course Pacquiao.

Here is the problem, every fighter is not the same.

Imagine if every player in the nba Played like Dwight Howard?
Sure Dwight Howard is exciting, but How much fun would that be to watch every player doing the same thing. In every basketball game, and every year.
How long would it be before we start calling the NBA boring?

                Do you understand the logic.

The thing that makes boxing the sport that it is.
Is that styles make fights, and and every fight is different.

                You call mayweather boring..
But alot of people think other wise.

or he wouldnt be the star that he is...

                  That's great.

But the proof is in the pudding. Pure boxers are not very popular with casual fans. Why do you think Floyd Mayweather flew under the radar, even when he was a juggernaut in the lower weight divisions ?

He was overshadowed by Mosley, DLH, and Hopkins at the time...not because of his style

His first PPV fight was in 2005...his last fight at 140

The reality is that's just not true. You will never achieve in boxing what Floyd has done. Never. Ever.

If you asked your own mother or father to bet their house on that, they wouldn't. That isn't an insult to you. It's just the reality. And you know it. What is the likelihood of YOU becoming the #1 p4p fighter in the world? Almost too small to measure.

Will you ever, ever be in the NBA? Even if you worked harder than everybody else?
