What if Cotto were to hire Nazzim Richardson as his trainer?

It may just be me,but I think,it's Cotto's conditioning,that is his liability!!Early in fights,he is almost always out ahead,but in the second half of fights,he starts backing up & looking like he's in danger!!What I'm saying is Cotto doesn't really need to improve on much,in the technical aspect of boxing,cept for backing up at angles & touching up on defense!!It's his stamina that bothers me!!

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Not after the major battles he's just overcome. He's still undefeated except for a very questionable loss against a proven scumbag banned cheater. Nobody, even a bigger plastero couldn't lay Cotto out...he was still up and on a knee. Manny's been down on the canvas (more than just knees) 5 times. besides, he's taking this very seriously. He knows this is a major career opportunity for him. He's already got the training going. He's young, healthy and hungry and battle hardened! Hope that eases your concerns...heh. War Cotto!

Is it me or does it appear cotto is a little over confident in the training department..
why hasnt he picked a world class trainer yet at this stage of the game.. he doesnt even have much time to work with one before the fight as it is

i think he starting to believe his own myth a bit.. Cotto has continually ignored his own flaws..ie Trainer ie going down the stretch
I think he plans on relying on his talent too much.. But as talented as he is.. Cotto has never put down anyone who didnt want to be put down ie Malinaggi, Clottey, Plasterito, Mosely

I think nazzim would be a great addition but im not sure how much it would help this close to the fight with cotto not being a vet like hopkins mosely

As far as Cotto not Ko'ing those guys, when Cotto fought them neither guy had been knocked out, ever. All those fighters have very strong chins I don't think it takes that much away from his power, it was still enough to keep all but Marg from overpowering him.
