A fight of Montiel/Morel winner would be very good against penesola.However morel's been on a waiting list and i think he should take 1st crack.Although i applaud gerry for his valient effort against juanma,and also earning a higher ranking with wbo.

Fernando Montiel is in my opinion one of the best technical fighters of today, I would like to see him take on the challenge and improve on the quality of opponents and fight the elite of the sport. juanma/donaire/vic any of these guys would be great matchups... I hope they can be made soon enough, for Montiel needs much more exposure to showcase his abilities in the ring. Without forgetting that another belt in a different division would put him amongst the best mexican boxers of all time..

How does this fight keep getting put back? I think it should definitely go ahead before Montiel issues offers to the likes of Vic and Agbeko. Montiel should beat Morel, but neither men can be counted out, and have a lot to gain for a win. I hope it get's officialised and actually happens.
