Haye-Valuev in Place, John Ruiz To Step Aside

The fear is now over. A deal has been struck for WBA mandatory John Ruiz to step aside and allow the heavyweight clash between champion Nikolai Valuev and challenger David Haye to go forward without a hitch on November 7. Valuev's manager, Boris Dimitrov, had been worried about the fight going through. Chris Meyer, CEO for Sauerland Event [Valuev's promoters], issued the statement regarding the deal. [details]

Perhaps my words of wisdom actually worked.

Tell Ruiz he can fight me.

ruiz should quit getting his lawyers to fight for him & actually step in the ring & earn his shot.

Haye will win and after he does he'll beat Ruiz too.

So does anyone know if this fight will be on American TV? I hope Showtime or possibly ESPN picks it up as long as they don't show the Ruiz fight on the undercard. I don't know who he is fighting but it doesn't matter, it will be boring as hell. After Haye demolishes Valuev, the maybe he can retire Ruiz after that....

Hopefully Haye can retire Valuev and Ruiz and then go onto fight a klit. He would have a better chance if he can win those 2 fights.

This has actually set out for him perfectly, He gets two of the top ten contenders before he gets to fight either Klits(If they want it).
