Boxing is bigger in the States then it is in Britain.

The fact you guys have FNF proves that.

        Oscar, Mr.Counterfeit Cash, & mosley.

Oscar is the exception here b/c his fights are always hyped up.

Mosley is a hall of famer & he can barely sell 3,000 seats in his own backyard. He has never been a A-side, & he's a 1st ballot hall of famer!

Mr.counterfeit cash, his overall greatness is hyped up IMO, but he cant sell without a big name. He couldnt sellout in Michigan.

Now you brits want to say we hype up jeff lacy? andre dirrell? majority of americans havent even heard of those guys.

How can we hype up our young upcoming fighters when our proven fighters goint to the hall of fame cant even get mainstream media attention in the U.S.?
Look at winky wright. long time solid proffessional i dont think he's hit mainstream yet.

But look at britain. Amir khan healining in PPVs already? Ricky Hatton with that ugly ass boxing style pulling 50k fans to see him fight lazcano?

        Majority of Americans could care less about boxing. Here's boxing in the totem pole in american mainstream media & fans;

        NFL
        NBA
        college football
        MLB
        college basketball
        Golf
        Tennis
        Nascar
        Boxing
        MMA
        College Baseball

How can we hype andre dirrell? andre ward? Americans dont even care.

The brits on the other hand........
you americans say the brits hype kell brook, nathan cleverley and tyson fury. yet the majority of brits havent heard of those guys.

Oh yes they do. Because they cut out the competition. Take Germany for instance. ALL of the fighters currently performing there (except the Klistchko brothers) are straight out bums. The Germans still watch it because IT'S FREE on TV AND they don't allow HBO to infiltrate that market. The same way the UFC can't make their way into Japan. They are proud people and prefer to consume their own **** rather than import others'. America could take an hint or two from the Japanese or the Germans.

You think it's any different in the UK?

            Football (the real kind)
            Rugby union
            Rugby league
            Cricket
            Tennis
            Formula 1
            Speedway
            Rowing
            Athletics
            Cycling
**** even American Football and Nascar get a bigger following on Sky than Boxing.

Amir khan could walk from one side of london to the other and literally never be stopped for an autograph if he wanted too.

Hatton has a huge following (In boxing terms) but thier are teams in the 3rd tier of English football that draw a weekly gate higher than any fight he could sell in the UK.

Froch couldn't sell a rosary bead to a nun.

Casual sportsfans might know the names of BJ Saunders, DeGale, Frankie Gavin but i doubt by the time they reach British title level anyone will remember them much less hype them outside hardcore boxing fans.
