Either way he could throw a hell of a left hook and was an extremely awkward opponent to fight. Louis did think it was embarrassing himself but it's not like he was ever in danger of losing that fight despite a flash knockdown.

The one time that Galento did take his training seriously, he was able to go to the 14th round and stop the biggest prospect at that time Lou Nova. It was a foul-filled affair however.

        I appreciate your knowledge.

"joe louis? I neva hoyd of the bum. I'll moyda him"

I take it you've never seen the hook that dropped Louis of any of Galentos other punches, were talkin bout the fight game here not a beauty pageant or bodybuilding competition.

And the alleged GOAT "Ali for those who see it my way n don't agree with that moniker" was knocked down by Chuck Wepner, a man who's nickname was the Beyone Bleeder kuz he was from Beyone New Jersey and take a guess.....he'd get beaten till he was a bloody mess that was his claim to fame. **** can happen when a guy is in the ring with someone who's not just a boxer, but a genuine fighter

His job previous to fighting was to actually deliver two or three tons of ice a day to customers with his truck, which is where he got his nickname "Two Ton" Tony. Quite a grueling job, since he had to carry all of that by himself, but it made him strong and durable in the ring.

Whats so funny about getting knocked down by him? He would probably knock most people down if he caught them with a good punch.

He looks pretty strong. And if I remember he get back up right away.

I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to take Tony Galento's punches.

I would imagine. I take it he was big on eating everything that looked like food as well.
