I fail to understand what beating Margarito would have done for Mayweather's legacy. Margarito is simply taylor made, slow, open for counter rights, pretty much anything. An opponent Mayweather would win a so called "Boring U.D against". An opponent who was worth Mayweather's time was Cotto but then Cotto ended up losing to Margarito. It ain't like Mayweather didn't contemplate his retirement during the DLH build up, yet to give it another go against Hatton, then turning down 35m for a DLH rematch. It was clear Mayweather's love for the sport either died out or he wanted his body to rest.

He's back now, after JMM he is gonna do serious business. Mayweather will start off by leaving Marquez's lifeless body infront of Pacquiao's front door, indeed he has returned to send Pacquiao a a message, it isn't a "Decisively beat Marquez" sorta a message, its a "You'd destroyed my last two opponents, I'll destroy someone most say you didn't beat" sorta message. And he'll no doubt face Mosley before he faces Cotto....cause if Cotto beats Pac, Arum will want 50/50 and Floyd won't give into that. If Pac beats Cotto, Arum will want more than 50% and Floyd sure as **** aint gonna give in to that.

So he'll take a 60/40 split and do easier business with Schafer. That is what will happen. Floyd/Mosley is next for Floyd, no doubt about it.

I agree, Mayweather vs Cotto made alot of sense but I knew his heart was no longer in it, especially when you turn down 35m to rematch DLH. Regardless of all the crap anyone would take, you DON'T turn down 35m.

Exactly. He's a pro fighter, he aint scared of anyone. He just simply doesn't give a **** about the fights the fans want to see, he just wants to make the most money he can. Can't totally fault him for that.

JLC is ALOT better then Margarito. JLC was great in the inside, worked his way in with punches, had the hand speed, foot speed, footwork, good at cutting the ring, power, chin, stamina...Margarito was all durability, size and an accumilative puncher. You should be ashamed comparing Margarito to JLC, seriously you should.
