Vernon Forrest's Killers To Face The Death Penalty

I'm a good-hearted person and I don't really like violence unless i have completely blacked out and am angry beyond control but what goes around comes around, for every action there's a reaction, all three have committed a horrible sin and now god will forgive them but up in heaven.
Fdotorres, these guys are criminals. If they would have shot your father like that(god forbid) you wouldn't be talking all that constitution crap or rights to whatever. You would say "**** them, kill em all they killed my father"...
They took a good life in Vernon's. That guy was making differences in handicapped kids' lives and giving back to his community while those killers were doing no good, at all. Period.

i never said **** them. nor did my mom, nor my grand parents. how would killing them ease the suffering of my family? how would it ease the suffering of vernon's family?
revenge isn't the solution to anything. i wanted to see them dead when i was 7 years old. i'll be 22 years old next saturday, so i think i understand better now what helps and what hurts. killing the ****ers just adds up more bad things to this situation. they should serve their time (life sentence) on jail

I'm just glad the guys were caught and are being dealt with. Death penalty or not, as long as these guys aren't on the streets causing more senseless violence, then I'm content with that.

I have to disagree with the framing of this article.
The opening line that "Justice will be served." clearly paints the piece in a biased context.
I generally oppose the death penalty on grounds that it is inherently inequitable given the nature of our justice system (money talks), and the fact that there have certifiably been many an innocent man put to death in this country.
Speaking personally however, I do not oppose the death penalty for the shooter. As for the other two, my gut tells me that they do not necessarily deserve to be put to death.
