Vernon Forrest's Killers To Face The Death Penalty
Collapse

Cruel and unreasonable is a matter of definition. Some states don't consider the death penalty cruel and unusual which is why they use it.bro, your legal system says that death penalty is prohibited, yet it still exists. as the world has progressed, death penalties have gone down dramatically, as does the types of executions applied
why don't we decapitate people or shoot them in the head now? because it's a cruel and unreasonable thing to do under any circumstance. how does it help the justice system to lower itself to the same act that those murderers did?
it's just... ******. the fathers of your own country believed it, and they clearly stated it
********* VIII
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
i'm not asking you to "educate yourselves" for bragging and that ****. it's just so people can see what some americans saw decades ago. killing killers isn't right, it just does more harm where harm has been already made
On July 1, U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan, found the death penalty "deprives innocent people of a significant opportunity to prove their innocence" and "creates an undue risk of executing innocent people," and thereby violates the Constitution's Fifth ********* guarantee to due process of law.
it goes against the most important justice body of a nation... why should it be practiced?
Its not a narrow definition, you are just using it to conveniently suit your ideology.Comment

i think that laws and life should be respected. if you take a life, you don't belong in society, and you should receive a life sentence and lose your right to be free and coexist with decent people.
i think that's a wee bit more logical and reasonable than killing a killer, which actually makes you a killer tooComment

I gotta give you props there for coming at me in an adult manorbro, your legal system says that death penalty is prohibited, yet it still exists. as the world has progressed, death penalties have gone down dramatically, as does the types of executions applied

I hear everything your saying i agree with some things 2.
But i also believe that in certain cases the death penalty should apply..
For instance a case like Vernons..
No i dont believe they should be shot in the head or on some cold brutal **** but there life should be took.
Prison just isnt what some folks believe it to be.Like i've already said ****** minded you would be suprised how cold and heartless peeps like this can be.
They would adapt in prison they would make friends yes it would'nt be like outside but they would be living breathing while your paying for it..
Put it this way i would'nt wanna make the choice to send them or not
i could'nt live with myself but i would'nt argue if they were to recieve the death penaltyLast edited by The Gully Gad; 08-24-2009, 06:59 PM.Comment

Thats only your feeble minded opinion and it holds no weight.i think that laws and life should be respected. if you take a life, you don't belong in society, and you should receive a life sentence and lose your right to be free and coexist with decent people.

I've replied on the matter in a previous post..i think that laws and life should be respected. if you take a life, you don't belong in society, and you should receive a life sentence and lose your right to be free and coexist with decent people.
i think that's a wee bit more logical and reasonable than killing a killer, which actually makes you a killer too
But like i said in there i would'nt wanna be the one to decide there fate..Comment
